The information reaching me has it that Infinix Hot 2 just got its first system update worth 23.2MB in size. Which fixes some bugs on it in preparation for Android M (marshmallow) OTA update to be made available later.

If you have one at your disposal, and happen to have successfully rooted it, pls be sure to Unroot it before going ahead with the system update to avoid bricking.
How To Unroot You Infinix Hot 2?
==>To unroot, you need the same App you used in root it which is Kingroot. If you still have it installed, Just open it.
==>When it opens, tap the settings icon at the top right corner.
==> Now tap on Root Authorization setting => Remove Root Permission => Hit Continue.
==>Click Ok on the pop up and wait for a while and you should get a notification “Root has been removed”. Wait a little longer and the kingroot app will close
automatically.
That’s all. You can now proceed with the Update. But pls make sure you are connected with a strong 3G network or else you will be getting an error message.

Hi, just got the hot 2 and am having issues connecting to the internet, my wifi is fully recharged and has subscription but the device keeps saying, "…device not provisioned for data services…" Please help.

Hi…am using hot2…I updated to d latest firmware…then I rooted….now I got a new update again,so I unrooted…then I tried to update…. After reaching like 30%,it just writes error…
If the error occurred while downloading the update file, then it definitely is a network issue. Try again with a strong 3g connection.
Otherwise, get a back up from a friend that has downloaded it and flash it.
